In celebrate of Christmas this year, I decided to go glamping at Colleton State Park from 12/24/2021 to 12/26/2021. This would be my second camping trip in 2021. I booked my campsite in October on the South Carolina State Park's website and from then on I added to the camping gear I already had.
I booked site #6 with the help of Youtuber ClemsonFan; their video gives a full tour of all the campsites at Colleton State Park.
Check in was fairly easy. The check in time at Colleton is 12:00PM, but I arrived at 4:00 with only 1.5 hours to spare before sundown. I drove into the campground; on the right is the visitors center/office/gift shop. From then I made a right and followed the campsite numbering. Shortly after I arrived, the Park Ranger (Andrew) drove to my campsite to greet me, gave me a campground pass to hang in my window, told me a little about the campground and answered my questions.
My brother Robert and his friend Taylor helped me setup my site. By the time I got settled it was dark so I watched Netflix and cooked dinner.
The restroom/showers were centrally located at the beginning of the campground; it was 3 basic stalls (including one handicap stall) with 2 showers.
On Christmas day my mom paid me a visit and we walked down to the Edisto River and explored the campground a little. Overall the weather was really nice. Christmas eve was the coldest out of the 3 days I stayed. I brought along my heater to put in my tent at night, having a heater made it so comfortable at night.
Campground #2 out of 47 completed (Givhans Ferry State Park was the first SC State Park I camped at in June 2021, I didn't document it).
On to the next adventure!
