Bangin Vegan Eats Food Truck- Charleston, SC

I've been following Banging Vegan Eats on Instagram for a while, so I told myself the next time they're near me I would give them a try. On Sunday they were parked outside of the Westbrook Brewing Company in Mount Pleasant, SC. I was attending a sound bathing session on Sullivans Island later that day, so this was the perfect time to indulge.  I placed my order at the food truck window for the Hunny Garlic Bangers. My order was ready in less than 10 minutes. Fried breaded cauliflower drenched in a agave garlic sauce topped with a ginger sriracha aioli and scallions. Firm and crunchy on the outside, soft firm texture in the inside. This was a 10/10, definitely recommend.  The wings were so good I did a little research and decided to order the Mac Attack Fries. This order was place online through the street food finder app. These fries had so many levels of flavor. Seasoned fries topped with mac n cheeze that good good ranch, buffalo sauce and scallions. My portion was big enoug...

February 2022- Glamping at Santee State Park #3

In honor of Black History month I camped at Santee State Park for 4 days and 3 nights. This was my first solo camping trip of 2022. Friday 02/25/2022, I left work at 3PM and made it to the site by 5ish. My youngest brother and his family (Christy, Mike Chris, TJ) came to the site to help me set up.  I camped at site #47 which looks like one of the best sites on the campground.   For the most part the weather was perfect, breezy and cold. Just like I like it. I bought my heater, a table fan and a high velocity floor fan.  Hiking, bird watching, walking, cooking occupied my time. Defintely not the last trip to Santee State Park.

1st Day Hike 2022- Givhans Ferry State Park (River Bluff Nature Trail)

January 1, I drove 45 minutes to Givhans Ferry Park to take part in South Carolina State Park’s first day hike of 2022. River Bluff trail features 1.5 miles of beautiful scenery, including three resting benches throughout the trail. Givhans Ferry State Park has a sandbar located on the left lower side of the Ranger Station/Meeting hall; the sandbar is situated along the Edisto River. After my hike, I walked around the park a little and enjoyed the weather. Overall this first hike of the year was a great way to start the new year. Nice weather, great scenery and a peaceful enjoinment is just what I needed.

Christmas 2021- Glamping at Colleton State Park #2

In celebrate of Christmas this year, I decided to go glamping at Colleton State Park from 12/24/2021 to 12/26/2021. This would be my second camping trip in 2021. I booked my campsite in October on the South Carolina State Park's website and from then on I added to the camping gear I already had.  I booked site #6 with the help of Youtuber ClemsonFan ; their video gives a full tour of all the campsites at Colleton State Park.  Check in was fairly easy. The check in time at Colleton is 12:00PM, but I arrived at 4:00 with only 1.5 hours to spare before sundown. I drove into the campground; on the right is the visitors center/office/gift shop. From then I made a right and followed the campsite numbering. Shortly after I arrived, the Park Ranger (Andrew) drove to my campsite to greet me, gave me a campground pass to hang in my window, told me a little about the campground and answered my questions.  My brother Robert and his friend Taylor helped me setup my site. By the time...
